“ Hamlet” is one of Shakespeare’s famous tragedies, through the lens of reality, this play give the audience many inspirits. Insanity is a main theme in the book, there are two way to interpret Hamlet’s insanity. Firstly, Hamlet’s “acting crazy” in the book. At the beginning of the book, Hamlet has no power in the family. When his father’s ghost is telling Hamlet about his death, Hamlet decide to play crazy to achieve his goal of revenge. In the end of book, Hamlet finishes his revenge through his elaborate planning, although this revenge costs lot. However, as a prince who is isolating form real power, his successful revenge is a good example of sticking with plan and achieve goal. On top of that , Hamlet’s ending is a warning for the audience. Hamlet is playing crazy at beginning of the book, and he is clear about it . However, when the story goes on , Hamlet becomes real insanity. He is crying to the skull and killing Polonius. In the process of his revenge , Hamlet lost many things, such as his lover Ophelia, and mother. His lost does not stop Hamlet’s revenge. Therefore, Hamlet’s tragedy is destined. His stubborn causes his fate. In the reality, we should keep open to life . Life has many purpose, if we need to sacrifice too many good thing in our life to achieve a goal, then we need to rethink about the goal . We need to ask ourselves: does it worth to do that? Overall, Hamlet is a distinguished drama, it give us many insight and warning to our life.
